The Floodgate of Heaven
Genesis 28:12-14
The floodgate of heaven can be said to be a metaphor that reminds us that God’s word says He will open the windows of heaven and pour us out blessings we won’t have room to receive (Malachi 3:10).
Opened heavens doesn’t just happened. It is premised on a provoked, deliberate circumstance (Deuteronomy 28:1, Exodus 23:25-26).
KEYS TO EXPERIENCING A LIFESTYLE OF THE FLOODGATE OF HEAVEN
There are procedures, powers being referred to as keys with which a believer can access the different dimensions of graces in the kingdom of God (Matthew 16:19).
1. Tarrying in prayers and meditations all night (Genesis 28:10-12).
2. Submission, love and wisdom.
3. The keys of giving and receiving (Luke 6:38).
4. The commanded seed called TITHE (Malachi 3:10).
5. The received word (John 1:12).
6. The key of being born of God (John 1:13).
7. The key of the spoken word (John 1:3-5).
8. The key of righteousness in Christ (John 1:47, 51).
REALMS OF THE FLOODGATE OF HEAVEN
A. The realm of commanded blessings (Deuteronomy 28:8-11, Psalm 148:1-6).
B. Realms of sworn blessings (Genesis 22:16-17).
C. The realm of the Co-Creator of Edenic blessings (Genesis 1:28).
RESULTS OF OPEN HEAVEN BLESSINGS
i. Prestigious place in heaven (Genesis 14:19).
ii. Victory over all enemies and rest round about (Genesis 14:20, 1King 5:4).
iii. Prosperity within and without (Leviticus 26:10, Isaiah 48:17).
iv. Unmatched, unrivalled realms of wisdom from God almighty (1 Kings 4:34, Isaiah 11:1-3).
